This product has all the qualities of granite without the high maintenance of granite. |
What you should know:
Quartz is not a seamless product, seams are visible. Where there are seams, the products pattern and shade can change. Although this is a stone product, direct heat from pots, pans, griddles, crockpots etc. is not recommended. Therefore, trivets are always recommended. |
Care & Maintenance:
Use a damp cloth or paper towel for an everyday cleaning. You can also use everyday soap and water or even windex. For stubborn or sticky areas, use a little liquid detergent with a Scotch-Brite pad. Be sure to rinse thoroughly to remove any film residue left over from the detergent.
For more heavier or stubborn spots such as gum, nail polish or paint, first gently scrape away the excess with a razor blade or putty knife. However, quartz tops are much stronger than a steel blade, so excessive scraping on the surface may leave a gray mark on the countertop. Not to worry, just clean with a recommended cleanser such as Formula 409 or Lysol and a scrub pad. Any residue from the spot and any metal marks should both quickly disappear.
No surface is indestructible. Quartz can be damaged by exposure to strong chemicals and solvents. Do not use products containing trichlorethane or methylene chloride, such as paint removers or furniture strippers. Avoid abrasive products containing high alkaline/PH levels. |
